Payroll Categories
This feature allows creation of payroll categories in the system. A payroll category is for grouping employees depending on how you would want their payroll to be generated. A staff only belongs to one category. To add a payroll category, click on “Add New”, a dialog is displayed, fill in the “Category name”, “Description” which is optional and save.
Allowances
This feature allows creation of allowances in the system. To add an allowance, click on “Add New”, a dialog is displayed, fill in the “name”, check if the allowance will be displayed on the payroll, fill in the “description” which is optional and save.
Currencies
This feature allows creation of currencies that will be used in the system. To add a currency, click on “Add New”, a dialog is displayed, fill in the “currency name”, “symbol” and save.
Currency Conversions
This feature allows creation of currency conversion rates that will be used in the system. The Ugandan Shillings (UGX) is used as the base currency. To add a conversion rate, click on “Add New”, a dialog is displayed, select the “currency”, whose rate is to be created, then fill in the rate to the base currency and save.
To activate the rate, select the “activate” or “play” action button for that conversion rate. A dialog asking to confirm activation is displayed, then select “Yes” to activate the rate.
To deactivate the rate, select the “pause” action button for that conversion rate. A dialog asking to confirm deactivation is displayed, then select “No” to deactivate the rate.
